Privacy Policy

• Account details. Your email address. You can sign in with a one-time email link or with Google; with Google sign-in we receive your name, email address, and Google account ID.
• Viewing profile. The region and streaming services you select, plus watch progress, ratings, and watchlist entries you record for shows and movies.
• Watch-group content. The groups you create or join, the posts and messages you write, event RSVPs, notification preferences, and reports, blocks, or mutes you file.
• Sign-in security data. Short-lived, single-use tokens that protect the sign-in links and the Google sign-in handshake. These expire within minutes and are not usable afterward.

• To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
• To run the app: your groups, watchlists, progress, posts, and notifications.
• To deliver service emails, such as your sign-in link.

We do not sell your personal data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers in the app.

• Google. If you use Continue with Google, Google handles the sign-in and shares your name, email address, and account ID with us. Google's own privacy policy applies to your Google account.
• Email provider (Resend). We pass your email address to our email delivery provider solely to send you sign-in emails.
• Show and movie metadata. Title details and artwork come from public catalog sources such as TMDB. These lookups happen on our servers and never include your personal data.

We set a session cookie to keep you signed in and a short-lived cookie during email and Google sign-in to protect against tampering. We set no advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your watch-group content is visible to the members of the groups you join. Your email address is never shown to other members. We disclose personal data only when required by law or to protect the safety of our members.

We keep your data while your account is active. To delete your account and its data, or to request a copy or correction of your data, email us and we will complete the request. Short-lived sign-in tokens are discarded automatically within minutes of use.

Couch Junkies is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
